Freelance Art stuff and maybe new content?

Hello, All! Thank you for checking in. Now today I have something rather important to discuss. I might make an update video soon. But, basically. Something is happening to my channel and I might either shut it down or delete everything... Depends on what occurs. It has nothing to do with my Network, they've been nothing but good to me. It's YouTube itself. But anyway. On to the point. For awhile now, I've been doing anime style illustrations. I haven't REALLY posted them online because I didn't feel like they were good enough or for fear of art theft. I have been developing multiple stories since I've been in high school. One such is this character below. Her name's Aura and she's the Goddess of Elements in one of my stories, and is a main character (not THEE main character but... you get the point lol)

The one above is a Work in Progress. But anyway, main point. Due to the current situation of the world and the pandemic being a huge burden on everything. I have had plans of doing freelance stuff online for awhile now. I might just switch to doing this. I love animating but, should that thing go through with my channel... I don't know if I'll have the time to focus on animations anymore. It will all go down at the end of the year and only time will tell. But anyway. Sorry for the long rant. I just wanted to ask 

I want to do more illustrations like this. This is a passion that I enjoy doing just like animation. While animating Dinosaurs is fun. I want to start doing story stuff and progress these characters I've had ideas for, for years now... Would you guys be okay with me showcasing this stuff on my channel instead?

K UNIVERSE ROADMAP!

 

Hey! been awhile since I've update huh? well. To anyone who might still be reading my blog. Here's my current roadmap. I know people have kept asking me, yes. Dinomayhem 2 is coming. I just haven't had time to animate lately. My Family has been moving and it's only me in my city now... scary stuff lol. But I'm independent so whatever... ANYWAY! 

Before I continue, let me preface it with this: In case you're wondering. yes. I deleted my Discord Server. I just wasn't happy with how it was turning out and even the fact that no one was posting... even me. Yeah. When I release more videos I will make another one. Hopefully better than before lol

So on with what you're here for. My plans for my channel. Obviously Prehistoric Age is one of my best videos. I DO want to make more. But it all depends on how well Jurassic Rage Season 2 goes. I'm going to make it then work on the other shorts. If they EXPLODE in popularity then I'll probably just finish the Livyatan short and then work on the next fight series. I'd only do the Livyatan one because it's already close to halfway done. So. That won't take long. I storyboarded the whole thing and have all the selected tracks ready. Also Alp worked on a design for me so. Be excited about that!

For anyone wondering: "What's the next fight series? Dinosaurs again?" maybe. I have a VERY big surprise fighter for Season 2 of Jurassic Rage. I know the response will be AMAZING. Depends on how good it does. If that's the venue to go down I was thinking of doing like... maybe a fantasy fight series? like Deviljho from Monster Hunter VS the Griffon from Ark. Stuff like that

Self questioning

So I obviously want to make another short. But the thing for me is... I actually have no idea if I want to. I mean, Prehistoric Age was a hit. Not a million views, but it's doing well. Better than my other videos anyway Aha ha! But being serious here: Let's start it

When Prehistoric Age was done I thought I was going to just jump straight into the next one. But you know... life... anyway. I didn't. I also asked a fellow animator (and friend) if he wanted to help me. To which... I even put his name in a teaser trailer I released. (Which, by the way. Is deleted. We'll get to that in a moment) I thought that would motivate me to push even more. I did a few Backgrounds and concept art for the short. But I fell back because I knew this would take quite a bit of time. Another thing too is I'm having a bunch of life problems..

So I fell back and still not that much work done. I mentioned something to my partner (supposed to be in this project) about paying him and that scared him off for whatever reason. Now it's just me again. I can do it. I mean... I originally planned to anyway. But I feel like having someone else might have sped up the process. A thing too is I wanted to do a lot more with the models I have planned in the short. Some of the Leviatan's were going to have belly shots, overhead shots. But I don't know if I have the time for that

Literally everything is planned and set up. But something is at the back of my head... something makes me think of not doing it. I don't know what it is. But. I will try after a bit. I'm still looking for a job in real life (yes, really) so we'll see what happens

Prehistoric Age: After Release "Final Thoughts"

Okay, so. Prehistoric Age is now completed, and here we are...

To start off: I am happy with the response. My fans and my community obviously love it. But you know what? For where it is now, I am so happy and grateful to every comment I get from the people that watch it.

Anyway: I think the thing that hits me the most about it is... I really did love working on this. When I look at certain scenes, certain tracks or videos pop into my head because I like to listen to things when I animate. I started watching a podcast around the time I was making this so I listened to that a lot. But it's also the hard parts lol, like. The WHOLE fight scene took so much work, I had to make everything as animated as possible so that it would sell the fact that it was awesome. I actually remember the day I uploaded it. I thought to myself "Man... I won't be able to work on this anymore" XD and it's not like I wanted to keep it hidden. I was more than excited to upload it. But... Idk. I remember hearing (I think it was) Pixar talking about working on Brave. They said "we just keep wanting to work on it" and I felt that. I so enjoyed animating it A LOT. I am so happy it's done, now people can enjoy it.

A thing I regret tho... only has to be a few things lol. Like, when I was re-watching it the other day I see certain mistakes and think "Man... I wish I could go back and fix that" I mean... I could XD but it won't fix the video, unless I took it down and re-uploaded it which would be... really stupid. But, there's a lot of that. But I think there's a lot of the opposite too. Even tho I can see some mistakes/shakiness/weird movements in the battle scene, I am incredibly happy with it. I also really love the opening and closing. Really atmospheric

A thing I don't understand is the people saying "Make a part 2!" which... I would say: "I CAN'T!" XD I mean, the story is over. The whole reason of the epilogue was "the cycle of life is starting again" I mean. I could do a... shoot... (Okay, so I just looked this up LOL But I don't know if this is right) a "Midquel" which is a story that takes place in between a time gap. Which, I would MAYBE do? like. In between the end scene and the epilogue. I would possibly show the difficulty each family goes through without the mothers. I also think it would be cool is the Male child fought the baby rex, like. They both grow up and battle each other at the end of the story

Anyway, just seeing how much people loved it makes me want to do another one. Which I am exactly doing right now

THE NEXT CINEMATIC SHORT FILM

Although Prehistoric Age isn't a hit right now. I have confidence that it'll show people how dedicated I am to my passion. Because as I have said before. I love animating, and will continue to do so.

Right now it's the second best video in terms of view time and all that. Although not the most views, it has the best "watch time"

But, to those kind enough to read. Here's something I just shared to my Google+ community... and to those also who read these posts, I will announce the next cinematic.

It will be called "The Life of Livyatan" Which is a Prehistoric predatory Sperm Whale that lived along side Megalodon. I know the poster date is far away, but that might not actually be the real date. Prehistoric Age should have taken me at minimum, 5 months if I worked on it as much as I should have. But I will be working with someone this time on the this new short film. This should speed up the process, and hopefully I can get this done much faster. But, since life is mean and hates animators in particular. I set a realistic goal to reach. If I end up finishing this up much faster than the actual date, then I will release earlier.

Which also, by the way. I will be dropping a trailer soon. It won't have the date I put on this poster, because it may or may not be finished before then. But for now, enjoy this poster I made, and I will release the trailer when I am done doing a few things

What does my Prologue video mean?

So in case any of you are even remotely interested in what I have to say, you should know by now that I am working hard on something huge, all un-intended sexual jokes aside. This I felt, would be a nice add on to what's about to be presented. Now, I of course know it might seem kinda boring, but. I just wanted to give you an idea at what's to come, and trust me. There's a LOT to it.

Oddly enough, I just wanted to test how YouTube would attempt to deal with the aspect ratio (which, in case you don't know, is the black lines on the bottom and top, to make it look wide screen) I know it might look a little off. But it just makes it look more cinematic. But, now I know YouTube won't really touch the video frame as long as I don't touch any of those "fix this video" buttons.

So one thing I wanted to make clear is this doesn't spoil anything, this isn't majorly connected to the project. It does have a small connection, but it isn't really spoiling anything. In fact, this I see is more of a small side story. I'm sure most of you will get it when the main video comes out, but for now. Just enjoy this trailer... video thing...
